The “M” Crew

Here we are, sharing our love for art and museums.

Angela Gala

Angela is a museum professional from Italy. Passionate about the development of the world’s most precious museums and historical sites from a young age, she holds a B.S. in Economics and Management for Arts, Culture and Communication (CLEACC) from Bocconi University in Milan and a M.A. in Museum Studies from the University of San Francisco (USF). While living in California, Angela interned and worked at different museums in the areas of Visitor Services & Education Programs. She relocated to Paris in early 2017, and she started writing for Musalley in May 2017.

Javier Maquieira

Throughout his life there have been two things about which Javier has felt truly passionate: history and stories. That’s the reason why he’s always been looking out for change and renewal both personally and professionally. They say the jobs of the future are yet to be invented or are still being created. In that case, he’d like to sign for the positions of “referenciologist” and “fixer” because that’s what he wants to do. Javier holds a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Public Relations from Pompeu Fabra University. Before that he used to tell stories as a ballet dancer and to read history during his free and not-so-free time. His interest in sociology and research led him to take the itinerary in public relations, in which he learnt very practical things about public affairs, crises, social action, and intercultural communication. He also had the chance to fall in love with gender studies during an exchange program at UCLA. After almost a year working as an intern at start-up Glovo, during which he was able to experiment with communication as the company grew, he landed at Ogilvy Public Relations, where he learnt the true meaning of multitasking as an account executive for all types of clients.

Nicole Sardo

Nicole has always been passionate about museums, arts and culture, mainly for two reasons: first, she was born in Italy, one of the most beautiful countries in the world; second, because she used to visit museums with her family when she was a child. She had a dream: to be part of a revolution in the museum sector, working towards the promotion and the creation of unique experiences to visitors. Her professional goal was (and still is!) to work on marketing, communication, promotion, networking and management of cultural institutions. Nicole holds a B.S. in Economics and Management for Arts, Culture and Communication (CLEACC) and a MoS in Government and International Institutions (CLAPI) from Bocconi University in Milan. After interning for quite some time in the cultural and public sector, she is now working on corporate communication and CSR issues at a FMCG firm, fully convinced that a dialogue between public and private sector is essential to a new approach in managing non-profit and cultural institutions.

Mickaël Villard

Mickaël was born in France, and always lived there. Fluent in English, he works in telecommunication, computer networking and server administration. Passionate about art, he’s been learning digital painting, and music on multiple instruments, his first choice being the piano. He’s an aficionado of cinema, photography, literature, and, since that’s not enough, he also loves programming and game design. Enthusiastic for new experiences and learning opportunities, he’s the French translator for Musalley.
