Friday Heirloom 2025

Friday Heirloom 118: “Luglio col bene che ti voglio” (July, I love you so)

Although slow and dry, I loved July!

Welcome to the last Friday of the month, which for me is a Friday Heirloom…

As I slowly get back into writing, I realize how the purpose of Musalley (aka The Alley of Museums) has changed throughout the years. When I started in 2017, it was most a collection of scattered thoughts on the cultural field, mostly museums.

Fast forward to 2025, I see things differently. It’s not that I don’t love museums anymore, far from that. It’s that my life has changed so much and although I want to honor my museum studies I also want to be true to who I’ve become, a human being focused on making Italian culture accessible to all and at all levels. Or at least this is my focus through my social media, my Airbnb experiences and the international women communities I’ve created in these past two years.

So, as for July, let’s get to it chronologically.

First, I had the most amazing vegan lunch at Ops! Ristorante Vegano with the girls in my community “Roma è Donna”.

I then spent a few days at one of my best friends’s villa right on the Apulian sea and we ate focaccia and macadamia nuts cracked with a 100 years old nutcracker! Can you believe it? Pic for proof.

I spent a few days in the countryside with my grandparents. We made cannelloni and then adopted 5 wild olive oil branches. Hopefully they will soon turn into trees!

This month I also started a collab with Emr-Tech Inc., redefining the market when it comes to red light gadgets. Please use my discount code (Angela39447) for a whole 40% off! I’ve had two of their lamps for years now and the benefits on skin and circadian rhythm are huge. I’m very picky when it comes to promoting gadgets and I’ve rarely promoted any until now…

Last week I shoot some new content in Bari Vecchia (old town) which will be published soon on my social media!

In Rome, I finally checked out the Altana – a little loggia in the upper part of the building, similar to a tower – at Palazzo Altemps (which I will post about in the next weeks) and then two girlfriends came visit me and got me presents from their trip to the Canaries!

As for the Palazzo, you should definitely check it out when in Rome. It’s not very crowded usually but it deserves your attention! I’ve posted about it many times on my social media.

Then I headed to meet my clients, two lovely couples from Switzerland who wanted to check out Trastevere, learn about its history and street art and eat some yummy, local street food while doing it!

Between a couple of work sessions this past weekend I had vegan sushi and went to my favorite spa on the Roman coast for a full body massage.

That’s all, folks! July is almost through and we’re about to welcome my birthday month (I object…). Luckily I can also celebrate that the “Bari è Donna” community reached its first 50 members!
