Friday Heirloom 119: Tuesday’s Gone

With the wind…

After spending most of September in Sardinia, August in Puglia and July in the Lazio region, I feel like this has been one of the most intense summers ever. I’ve been working and traveling non-stop, some things happened that made me question my future… Who do I want to be a year from now?

Most of all, where is summer? Now that Tuesday’s gone, I’m left with lots of projects, ideas and questions that need answering. It will be a busy Fall. After my birthday in late August, I decided to move on from old patterns and I did it quietly and abruptly.

As a recent 35 year old, I’m grateful with how things turned out in life. I was not happy with some of it but overall I managed to make it through, have a vision and follow it while accepting the fact that there are things I’ll never be able to control. Now I know I need to trust my instincts…

I’m able to do the things I love without worrying too much about money. This is great! The ladies communities in Rome and Bari are at their peak and I’ve united more women that I could ever have imagined. Over 300. Now I’m putting some limits on the new members I’m accepting. It’s been a pleasure and a challenge to manage these groups of talented and assertive women. I opened this new line of thought while walking through the Muravera murals scattered all over town, in Sardinia.

I’ve already resumed work and hosted some lovely Canadians, Belgian and Chilean gals. I’m privileged to be able to show people around the very heart of Rome.

In my mind though, I’m still sitting by the water in Sardinia, exploring the island from South to North while tasting local delicacies.

One of the most amazing places I’ve been to this summer though is the Arbatax Red Rocks. Just wow.

While I daydream, I receive an email from Venchi chocolate to go have a taste of their Fall 2025 chocolate collection. Of course I go, while also stopping by Apple to check out the new iPhones and try on their Hermès watches collection. I’m just a girl, after all.

I so understand Fall has come, and has tannins like an aged Cabernet from the Médoc region or like this licorice lime beef fillet…

Goodbye, Summer. Welcome, Fall.
