Friday Heirloom 120: Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween everyone!

October was a month full of surprises right until the end…

Full moon in Aries through the Apulian olive trees

I was out and about all month, both in Bari and in Rome. The first half of the month was about making new friends, hosting the lady aperitivo in my apartment for the second time this year with a lovely Swiss girl who road-tripped from Bern to Bari with her dog, Doby.

First time having a dog in in my patio. Hi Doby!

I was also able to test the wine scene in downtown Bari. I haven’t lived in Puglia for many years now so going back is very refreshing. The city has improved so much and tourism has boomed.

I celebrated a victory with Moët & Chandon at the Champagnerie. I also enjoyed some amazing wines from the Salento region at Mostofiore. I love both and you can probably find me there on any given day now (LOL).

Cin cin, champagne!
My nose loved the apricot, exotic fruits aromas of this Malvasia
Look at that color!

I spent the second half of the month in Rome, checking out new exhibits at MAXXI Museum and Chiostro del Bramante. For the pics please check out the Instagram or Facebook pages @musaller. The stadiums exhibition is interesting as it puts stadiums at the center of the cultural, social and architectural scene of any given town. The flowers exhibition embraced all senses while showing the depth of this seemingly superficial subject. I loved it!

I was also able to finish some major dental work and test my health parameters in a futuristic way thanks to a friend and their quantum resonance magnetic analyzer. I discovered so many things about my body and I hope this will take my health to the next level. Let me know if you’d like to try it and I’ll get you in touch with the right person!

I visited a dear friend of mine’s artsy atelier in the San Lorenzo neighborhood of Rome and she showed me the beautiful angel sculptures that she makes with her guests. I’m thinking of joining her in her sculpture classes, I just wish I can find the time…

Lastly, it was about time we had our first porcini mushrooms of the year!

This is why I love Fall, after all. The weather has finally cooled down enough for us to explore nearby art sites like the Diocletian Baths, sip good wine and make amazing memories.
