“Get in line for the wine!” at Belvédère, La Cité du Vin
The highlight of this week has been a trip to Bordeaux to visit some of my friends at La Cité du Vin.
As some of you know, I love this place! I’m a wine aficionado, and La Cité du Vin is by far my favorite contemporary museum. In fact, I could spend hours playing around their exhibits and opening up new wine horizons.
I’ve already featured La Cité du Vin on musalley. Actually, it was one of the first institutions I learned about when I arrived in France! Learn more about the institution on Friday Heirloom 19.
Here a few photos from this year’s visit (as always, thanks Bénédicte and Maxime for your warm welcome!)
Don’t miss La Cité du Vin while in France 🙂
For more information on the institution, please check out the website.
Not to take away from their excellent wines, but you are missing so much. There are great wines all over France and some of the top ones are here.
I agree 🙂
And if you like champagne, have you tried Blanquette? It predates champagen by over a century and a monk who use to work where it was made in Limoux, Dom Perignon, too what he learned up to the Champagne region and began to make a sparkling wine. I’ve had both, more than once and actually prefer the Blanquette.
What a lovely set of photos–thank you for sharing!
